I decided to stop blogging.
No really, I was telling friends & family I was done and had lost the mojo.
BUT!
I think I was depressed, considering events in my life and the workload on top of it, plus family, ya know. Sometimes life kicks you in the balls. SO, you can either sit there and catch your breath, which there's no shame in doing, but once your able to breathe again and your voice comes back down to a normal register, you can either CONTINUE to sit there and cry and wail and get mad that someone jammed your jewels, OR, you can get up, check your junk, and keep moving. So, I grabbed myself over the last week or so, and I'm ready to crack out a couple posts and start into it again, I have some new ideas for 3rd 4 t3h nrrd, and some major posts planned, so, stick around all ye h47ful, or FEED MEH! So all the crazy content comes straight to you as it's posted. Thanks for those who believe, I will try to not let you down!

Late Post Week

Yeah, yeah, I know. I was doing so well, too. Honestly though, I'm not feeling so hot and having trouble focusing. quite frankly, if I AM sick, it will be the 4th time this year so far, kind of ridiculous. I do have a weekly post planned, I just dont have the brain space to type it all out, PLUS, I have several MemeOrables ready to be polished & scheduled, so, hopefully no drop in quantity of content, just running a little late this week. Don't worry kids, lots of fun stuff coming this year.

Gygax is Rolling in His Grave

And I think he just Crit!
A short but poignant post today. As you may or may not recall, back in March of '08 The Great Gary passed on to a different plane. Even three years later his memory lives on and his family and some of their closest friends and MANY nerds still wish to have a concrete memorial somewhere on our Earth.

AND, so there's a bit of my brain in this post as well as a nod to this great institution, I'll use an old favorite to hopefully give me a quick & fun post . . . .

8! Describe your local area, gamerwise--is their a local game store? Where do your players come from? Do you want more players? Are they your friends? If you play with strangers, who are these people? Where do they come from?

Ooh, a tuffy. Actually, I take that back. I am lucky in some ways that I live in a major metropolitan area that is unequivocally nerdy, Silicon Valley.
There are MANY local game shops, at least half a dozen I am aware of all within a half hour or so of each other, whether they be comic or hobby shops at their core, they are definitely Gamer-friendly.
The players come from everywhere. Jr. High, High School, College, corporate sector, entertainment & service industry.
As for more players, no, I am good. I wish for more time to play with all my players but as most of you who know me personally have more than likely heard me gripe about my inability to tell players, old & new, "no" to joining my gaming group.
They are all my friends and I am responsible for the majority of my current players coming into RPG's. I have played with RPG vets and stranger noobs when I worked at a comic shop for a while, they came for a set, consistent game.
Currently my two groups are all friends and/or co-workers due to large nerdy social circles and a workplace with some VERY interesting perks.

Overall, to anyone who's looking for a game who might be new to the genre or just moved out here, don't sweat, there is a game for everyone out here, we be some of the nerdiest areas on earth, I'd wager. Just keep looking.

Rattling Around

Interestingly, I think the hamster in my head has gone on strike and the wheel squeaks and rattles in a melancholy manner.

My unofficial state of the h47 post a couple weeks past is still fairly accurate. I'm in the middle of casting a show, I just finished my Finals for the semester and FANIME is this weekend.

Next week is "What's in the h47!?!"s 1st year anniversary, I will try to have not only the standard Tuesday post, a semi-regular Meme-orable post, the standard 3rd 4 t3h Nrrd post, BUT! an additional Annual post!

I know, a little slow as of late, but we're rolling along.
